Finger Twister Alarm Clock
It’s time for your alarm clock to twist and shout…like it did last summer! (Well, kind of…)
How many of you love a good game of Twister?
Twister, of course, is Milton Bradley’s classic game of gymnastic fun (and no we’re not referring to the naked version of the game), where a spinner shows you a colored dot that you have to place one of your hands or feet on. You play against opponents, and no two persons can occupy the same dot on the large, bright-colored mat that serves as the game area:
Well, shake it up, baby, now, (shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout. (twist and shout)
Cmon, cmon, cmon, cmon, baby, now, (come on baby)
Come on and work it on out. (work it on out, wuu!)
(Lyrics, Twist and Shout from The Beatles, 1963
Well, someone’s come along and taken the idea of Twister to…yes…the Alarm Clock.
No, you don’t have to gyrate with your entire body into the right position on a brightly-colored mat in order to turn off the alarm sound (that would be really cool). Instead, the Finger Twister Alarm Clock forces you to “dance” in the proper pattern with your fingers on a small plastic pad, in order to turn off the alarm. Have a look at the manufacturer’s image below, in order to better understand this wacky concept for an alarm clock gadget:

Yes, this is of course an incredibly strange idea for an alarm clock. It must be said that the product itself, in all honesty, looks incredibly lame.
We ask you: How much valuable plastic is yet to be sacrificed, in order to quell the world’s seemingly insatiable thirst for strange alarm clocks?!
Think of all the other fine things we could instead be creating from all that plastic, instead of these ridiculous alarm clock gadgets:
- credit cards
- kewpie dolls
- Tamagotchis
- computers
- false teeth
- bongs
- poseable action figures
- reusable christmas trees
It’s truly a shame. All we have instead is this ridiculous Finger Twister Alarm Clock!
If you’re still interested in the Finger Twister Alarm Clock after reading this, then here are a few simple facts about the product:
It has a digital clock face with a backlight and a snooze function. As aforementioned, its most prominent feature is the mini disco dance floor for your fingers…so, put boogie shoes on your fingers, baby – it’s time to dance!
You can purchase the Finger Twister Alarm Clock at ThumbsUpUK. (But only if you’re lame.)
Hey, if you do buy this alarm clock, maybe you can use those new finger dancing skills you’re developing on your next date!
(Of course, by that we’re referring to nothing more than advanced handshaking…)
Because this alarm clock is so lame, we wanted to leave you with a little reminder about just how truly great the original Twister game from Milton Bradley is.
So here’s their original T.V. spot from the 1960’s to advertise Twister to the masses.
Watch & listen to the video, as we twist and shout on outta here…until next time, Clock Fans!
