Mr. Clock Radio

Hello, My name is Mr. Clock Radio…maybe you need a little extra help waking up?…WAKE UP, WAKE UP!

That’s the opening spiel of this wacky device.

I think I’ve seen it all now – clockwise.

No, actually, the ceaseless barrage of strange clock gadgets just keeps on coming and we should all expect this to be an ongoing process.

All advances in technology should be, of course, ultimately geared toward designing weird alarm clocks.

This alarm clock in question is a robotic head by the name of Mr. Clock Radio.

He looks kind of like a reject from George Lucas’s early Star Wars sketches made in Film School and, when you watch the video, listen closely for the omnipresent sound of gears rotating in his skull. (Sounds like Mr. Clock Radio is perhaps thirsty for a 40-ounce can of oil?)

Some of the functions of Mr. Clock Radio include:

Wake up to different witty sayings uttered from the mouth of a robot
Plug your MP3 Player into his cyber derriere and music spews out his mouth
Mr. Clock Radio tells you your fortune, Magic 8 Ball style
Mr. Clock Radio plays, you guessed it, the Radio
Motion Sensor: Mr. Clock Radio suddenly wakes up and spouts witty robotic sayings as you walk by
Mr. Clock Radio scares the hell out of your cat

Oh yeah, it even has an alarm clock function! Well, so much for the idea of simplicity…
