Hi Glassnwood,

Thanks for your feature request. We're really sorry, though: our aim is to keep OnlineClock as simple as possible, so we probably won't be adding any new option to increase the volume of our alarm.

Most users report that our alarm sound is so annoying that it wakes them up fine as it is. If you <em>do</em> need to have it be louder, however, we suggest that you please try increasing the volume settings on your computer.

It's also possible to hook up your computer to external speakers or even to your home stereo amplifier for maximum volume.

Thanks very much for using our clock and thanks for reading our blog!

Hello Seeker,

Thanks very much for your comments!

I'll go through each of your points separately.

1) The first version of our alarm clock did indeed have multiple alarm options. However, we found that it's better to make our online alarm clock as simple as possible. Since this feature isn't absolutely needed, we removed it. Other users often write us emails with comments regarding our online alarm service, and only one or two people have requested multiple alarm options. For this reason, we'd prefer keeping our alarm function the way it currently is, at least for the time being.

2) The fact that the AM/PM image doesn't change in size is not a bug! It was our intentional decision. When developing our online alarm clock, we wanted to display the AM/PM image just in one small size in order to conserve valuable screen real estate.

3) Having the computer turn on automatically when the alarm time approaches is a great idea, but to the best of our knowledge this is not technically possible. Don't forget that our alarm clock is a web script being run on a web page. Such scripts don't have sufficient privileges (at least, in any operating systems that we know of) to boot a computer.

Still, these are great ideas, and we thank you for your feedback!

We're committed to keeping our online alarm clock SIMPLE, because simplicity is always a better design decision.

Yours,

Webmaster

Dear Online Alarm Team:
First of all, thank you so much for this site/application. Waking up to online clock-radio is superb! Congratulations for making this application neat.
As a "seeker" (in spiritual sense w/ quest for excellence) and a QA (in practical IT world), I have few suggestions for improvements.
1. Is there any way you could include natural sounds (bird's chirping sound, sound of ocean waves). It would be just fantastic to wake up to the natural sounds.
2. Bug > When sizes are increased/decreased on the main page clock (medium, large etc), size of AM/PM does NOT increase/decrease (it remains constant).
3. Another idea: Since we all should work to make/use products as "green" as possible, and conserve energey, I was wondering if this application could "start the computer, and play the alarm" (scenario: At bed-time, you have set-up alarm on this site and shut-down the computer. This application internally starts the machine 5 minutes before the alarm time and plays alarm on the set-time).

I would like to contribute in my small capacity:
I can work along with your development team and do QA testing. Please email me at [email address removed] if I could be of any help!

Many thanks! Keep up the good work.
