Shoot your Alarm Clock

Who would have thought that this would come out of Japan and not the good old USA ?

Well, someone has a twisted sense of fun when it comes to alarm clocks, as evidenced by the Gun O’Clock, a new shoot ‘em up style of alarm clock offered by the Japanese company Bandai.

The Gun O’Clock, as the name applies, is an alarm clock that you shoot to turn off the alarm.

There are apparently several different modes – an alarm clock mode and 2 different play modes.

In alarm clock mode, you simply set the time you wish to be awakened and you have to hit a bull’s eye in order to turn off the alarm.

In one play mode, you can try shooting the target against the clock, to see how long it’ll take you to hit a bull’s eye. In the second play mode, the target apparently remains hidden and then jumps up at random intervals, to see how quickly you can hit a dead ringer.

Can you say genius? I think you can…
