Talking Pirate Skull Clock Radio

Avast, me hearties!
Here at OnlineClock world headquarters we always have our eyes open for new kinds of alarm clocks.
You’d be surprised by the number of gadget blogs which continuously publish articles on wacky alarm clocks. But, if you actually take the time to read the articles and look at the products, most of these alarm clocks turn out to be…lame, very lame.
Which is why we’re glad to have discovered a cool alarm clock which is far from lame.
The Talking Pirate Clock Radio:
Why is this alarm clock so groovy? Well, let us count the reasons:
- It’s related to the greatest Disney Attraction in the world.
- It has a pirate motif. Pirates are cool. Period.
- It has a skull motif. Skulls are cool. (Period.)
- It has a talking and singing Pirate Skull. Talking and singing pirate skulls are cool. (Yes.)
- The song the pirate skull sings is incredibly cool: Yo Ho Ho, A Pirate’s Life for me! C’mon, if you don’t like this song, you’re dead already (and we all know that dead men tell no tales).
We could get into a long discussion regarding just why skulls are so cool (SEE: PUNK ROCK). Or why pirates are so cool (SEE: ANARCHY). But that might be boring.
I actually saw this alarm clock in a toy store some time back, soon after the last Pirates of the Caribbean film was released, and thought it looked cool back then. But they didn’t have a working display model in the store showing just how cool it really is!
Here are some of the features of the Talking Pirate Clock Radio:
- It has an AM/FM radio.
- The pirate skull can wake you up by singing jolly pirate songs.
- The pirate skull has glowing red lights in his eye sockets. (Wow – that would scare the heck out of me in the middle of the night.)
- The pirate’s skull is animated when he sings or talks.
- Oh yeah, the Talking Pirate Skull Clock Radio can also wake you up with a buzzer or with a radio station.
We of course have our own online version of a clock radio, and we are not easily impressed. But we find this Talking Pirate Skull Clock Radio gadget to be neat-o, in the extreme.
You can purchase this device via the usual sources.
While researching this blog post we rediscovered the song “Yo Ho A Pirate’s Life for Me“, which is actually the theme song from the Pirates of the Caribbean films and/or attraction.
This is such a great song that we just had to include a music video of it, to get you into the proper kind of Talking Pirate Skull mood:
Ahoy, ye Land Lubbers and Bilge Rats!
