People just don’t like waking up.

Today we curse our alarm clock. But back in the days of dinosaurs and cavemen, we probably cursed out the sun when it woke us up from a sound night’s sleep early in the dawn hours.

The reason why is that, it’s just so nice to sleep…to relax and to rejuvenate ourselves. Being awakened again into consciousness is a jarring experience, kind of like a slap in the face or a blast of cold water.

This all means there are a lot of possibilities for pranks when it comes to waking people up.

It’s difficult enough not to be startled by the sound of your normal alarm clock going off, so we can easily imagine how startling it is to be awakened by even more jarring noises and events!
